A bearded fellow rediscovering an affinity for the natural world.
There’s nothing more tranquil than a nap on soft mossy ground beneath a towering tree in the middle of a forest, the echoing silence sporadically broken by chirps, rustles, and all manner of natural sounds. I’ve always been captivated by the natural world, but it was only in picking up a camera and learning how to re-see the world that I reminded myself of this.
I believe the more we see, engage with, and experience nature, the more connected we become to it and the better chance we have of bringing more people to the cause of valuing it and, ultimately and crucially, saving it.
Picking up a camera has led me down the rabbit hole of rediscovering a fascination with nature and wildlife and, specifically, forming an interest in the remarkable creatures we call birds. Sometimes, we need to be reminded how incredible something is, even if it's all around us. Wildlife and nature photography offers a glimpse into another world and crucially reminds us that we're not the only things on this planet.
